FAQ

How should I care for my quilted hoodie or other handmade piece?

Most of my items are made from vintage or upcycled quilts, which means they’ve already lived a little (and that’s what makes them special!).
To keep yours looking beautiful:

  • Wash on gentle or hand wash in cold water

  • Use mild detergent

  • Air dry or tumble dry low

  • Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals
A little fading or softness over time just adds to the story.

✂️ Can I send you my own quilt to be turned into something?

Yes — I love doing that!
If you have a family quilt or a sentimental piece of fabric, I can turn it into a hoodie, pillow, or keepsake. Custom spots are limited, so reach out via hello@chicksandblooms.com to check availability.

🕰️ How long will it take to get my order?

Most ready-to-ship items go out within 5–7 business days.
Made-to-order or custom pieces can take 2–3 weeks, depending on my current queue (and whether I’m on the road with my sewing machine).

📦 Do you ship internationally?

Right now, I ship within the U.S. only, but I’m working on expanding that soon!

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Because each piece is handmade and often one-of-a-kind, I don’t accept returns or exchanges.
If your order arrives damaged or there’s an issue, please email me — I’ll always do my best to make it right.

Can you gift wrap or include a note?

Yes! Just leave a note at checkout and I’ll wrap it up pretty and include a handwritten tag. I love making gifts feel special.

What does “Chicks & Blooms” mean?

It’s a reminder that life (and creativity) goes through seasons — we all bloom in our own time. This little brand is my way of turning that belief into something you can wear, gift, or wrap yourself in.
